HELLO I'M A FAN OF JOSE LUIS|WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL FAN BLOG|GET UPDATES ABOUT THE ACTOR|JOSE LUIS GARCIA_PEREZ, A UNIVERSAL ACTOR

Cachorro - What could be the story If I make the sequel?

"Cachorro" (Bear Cub), the movie of Miguel Albaldejo and Jose Luis Garcia-Perez, was a successful movie which was released in 2004. For this movie, Jose Luis got nominated to Goya as "best new comer (mejor actor revelacion)". This movie brought good name and success to both Miguel and Jose Luis which was released in USA as "Bear Cub". This was one of the good movies that every Bear man has got a DVD in their library.

Jose Luis Garcia Perez, who played the role of "Pedro", a HIV positive dentist who has to look after his nephew when his sister travels to India and being caught there by possessing drugs. The living style of Pedro changes because of his nephew (Bernardo), who develops a deeper bond with him and fights with the granny of his nephew along with his own health.

Actually, this movie was made and inspired from Miguel Albaldejo's earlier short film (Cortometraje), which also has the same name "Cachorro", in which he described a father-son relationship and the loss of his son which Miguel dramatized like a bad dream.

So this plot was later made into "Cachorro" movie, but the story ends with out having a proper conclusion. The director was not explained the fate of 'Pedro' and his sister and many questions he left to the audience for their own imaginations.

For fans of Jose Luis Garcia Perez, 'Cachorro' was one of their favorite movies and it is the only movie of the actor which has the ability to make into a sequel. The movie ends with the death of the grand mother of his nephew, who grows up into a young teen and finally joins with his uncle 'Pedro'.

What happens next? What about his sister and the other guy to whom she traveled to India? What could be the fate of Pedro's life being a HIV-positive person? All these questions should be solved if "Cachorro" will make into a sequel. As I have been watching the movie for many times, I have got the idea that if I have a chance to make the sequel to "Cachorro", what could be the story? How can I give a conclusion to the life of Pedro?

I know, it sounds interesting.... no?

1. In the movie "Cachorro", Pedro convinces his nephew that they should become strong so that they can travel to India, to bring his sister back. This is the key point for me in the sequel. So, after 5 years, Pedro gets a letter from Indian embassy that they are going to release his sister on the occasion of Independence day. So they ask Pedro to come to India, to take her home. The guy with whom his sister traveled, was dead in the prison itself because of health issues. So, the movie (sequel) starts with the journey of Pedro to India. He convinces his nephew not to travel along with him and he writes a letter to him before he leaves to India.

2. He travels to India, two weeks before the release of his sister. He landed into the Delhi, the capital city of India. There he saves a young guy who tried to attempt suicide. Later, Pedro knows about the young guy, who is also a HIV-positive but fears to tell his family members about his condition. Because, he is the only son of the family. Pedro convinces the guy and goes to his home to convince and counsel the family members about their son's problem. The family of the guy is a traditional Indian family, who loves his son and asks Pedro to stay at their home till he leaves to Madrid. Pedro feels that it is very tough to convince them and reveal about the health problem of their son.

3. During his stay in India, Pedro observes the people of India, their myths and fears towards diseases especially HIV and AIDS. So, being a doctor he decides to counsel them and he starts it with the young guy and his family members. Pedro has a very less time and within two weeks he motivates the guy to reveal his health problem to his family members, but this makes Pedro has to reveal his own story and why he came to India.

4. Last day, the guy dares to tell his family members about his health condition and convinces them that it is manageable. But The members of the family asks Pedro to leave their house. The final day comes, Pedro goes to the "Red fort", where the Indian independence ceremony starts and there he meets his sister and returns to the airport along with her to go to Madrid.

5. But Pedro makes a decision not to go back to Madrid and he hands over the ticket to his sister and tells her that he is not coming to Madrid along with her. So his sister travels alone to Madrid, and Bernardo receives her in the airport. She still do not understand why Pedro is not willing to come back to Madrid. Her son gives the letter, which was written by Pedro and it describes about the severe condition of Pedro, that he is in his final days of HIV and he want to die far from his family. So Pedro decides to be remain in India.

6. The climax scene: after 2 months, Pedro starts a small clinic in a village in India, where he counsels several HIV positive patients. He appoints a young guy as a translator ( the guy whom he saved earlier) and he spends rest of his life in an Indian village as a Dentist cum HIV counselor.

The story ends here.....

I know this sounds a little bit crazy but I couldn't resist myself to post it. Tell your valuable suggestions in the comment section.
